Step-by-Step Guide to Bridging Assets with Interport

This comprehensive guide will walk you through the full user journey of bridging assets using Interport, with detailed step-by-step instructions, interface walkthroughs, and tips to ensure a smooth experience.

Step 1: Launch Interport Bridge

Visit: https://app.interport.fi

Select “Birdge” Menu

Step 2: Connect Your Wallet

• Click the "Connect Wallet" button in the top-right corner.

• Choose a wallet (Interport supports only EVM chains + SUI & Aptos)

• If required Approve the wallet connection prompt.

Ensure your wallet is switched to the source network from which you want to send tokens.

Step 3: Select the Asset

• From the “Bridge Amount” section, click on the left token selector dropdown.

• Choose a supported asset.

The list auto-populates based on your selected network. Only bridgeable assets are shown.

Step 4: Choose Source and Destination Chains

• First, select your source network from the left panel and below then, choose your destination network from the below panel.

Step 5: Routing & Protocol Selection

Interport uses predefined default routes for each supported token and network pair. Based on your selected asset, source chain, and destination chain, the platform will apply a default bridging route with an integrated messaging protocol (e.g., Chainlink CCIP, Circle CCTP, or LayerZero OFT).

In some cases, users may be able to select between available providers where more than one route is supported. These options will appear automatically in the interface when applicable.

For example, when bridging USDC, Interport may use Circle’s CCTP with Fast Mode by default if supported. You can also switch to Standard Mode, which may offer lower fees during periods of low network congestion.

Step 6: Enter Transfer Amount

• Input the number of tokens you want to send.

• The system will auto-calculate:

• • Expected tokens received on the destination chain

  • Estimated time

  • Gas fee & bridge fee breakdown

  • Maximum bridgeable amount

Leave a required amount of the native token on the source chain for gas.

Step 7: Review Bridge Interface

At this stage, double-check the key details before proceeding.

Optional: Toggle “To another wallet” to send to another wallet address

Step 8: Approve Token

• Click "Approve" under the input field.

• Your wallet will ask for confirmation to allow Interport to access this token.

• Approve the transaction (wait for 1 block confirmation).

Step 9: Initiate Bridge Transfer

• Click the "Bridge" button.

• Confirm the bridge transaction in your wallet.

• The transaction will begin processing.

Step 10: Track Transfer Progress

• Use the transaction hash to track the status:

Troubleshooting & Support

If you're facing issues while using the Interport Bridge, try these quick steps:

• Initiation Issues: Ensure gas balance, switch RPC via Chainlist.
• Disable VPN: If you’re using a VPN, turn it off — it may interfere with connectivity.
